Poker is a card game in which players place wagers against each other for the chance to win money. While there are some strategic elements, this game is primarily a game of luck. Players then have the option to say “call” if they want to add to the pot and match the last player’s raise, or to “fold” if they don’t believe that their hand has a positive expected value.
A common mistake that many new players make is calling too often, or in the wrong situations. This can lead to big losses, so it’s important to evaluate the strength of your hand and the betting patterns of your opponents before making any calls.
